HOUSTON â€" The Houston Cougar Women's Basketball team continues its two-game homestand with a matchup against East Tennessee State on Sunday, inside H&PE Arena. Tipoff against the Bucs is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Here are five names, numbers, news items and storylines you need to know about the game against East Tennessee State.
It's Been a While â€" Houston and East Tennessee State meet for just the second time in history, and the first time since a 95-88 win for the Bucs on Dec. 30, 1994.
Winning Streak â€" A win against the Bucs would give Houston its first six-game winning streak since the squad won 17 straight during the 2010-11 season.
Some of the Best â€" Sunday's contest will feature Tianna Tarter for ETSU, who was named to the Naismith watch list earlier this season, and Jasmyne Harris who is the reigning American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for Houston.
I'll Take That â€" Houston leads the American Athletic Conference and is top-10 in the nation in steals (121) and turnovers forced per game (24.22), while also leading the conference in turnover margin (+7.11).
That's Mine â€" Sophomore guard Angela Harris has been one of the most active defenders in the nation this season. Her 34 steals and 3.78 steals per game lead the conference and rank No. 7 and No. 9 in the nation, respectively.
SERIES vs. ETSU
Sunday's contest will be just the second meeting all time between the two squads. The Bucs won the first matchup 95-88 in Houston on Dec. 30, 1994.
ABOUT THE COUGARS
Houston is 7-2 on the season after coming from behind to defeat Texas Tech 79-75 in their home opener inside H&PE Arena last Sunday.
Houston has been led on offense by four different players averaging double-figures per night. Sophomore Jasmyne Harris leads the squad with 17.1 points per game, while sophomore Angela Harris adds 14.4 points per night. Dorian Branch scores 12.4 per game, while Serithia Hawkins averages 11.3 points per contest.
As a team, the Cougars are scoring 72.3 points per game while allowing opponents to score 68.8. Houston is shooting 40.3 percent from the field including 31.0 from beyond the 3-point line, while opponents are making 39.5 percent of their shots and 32.1 percent from beyond the arc.
On the glass this season, Hawkins paces the Cougars with 8.3 rebounds per night, while Jasmyne Harris adds 6.1 boards per game.
Houston currently ranks first in the American Athletic Conference in steals (121), turnovers forced per game (24.22) and turnover margin (+7.11) and ranks fifth, 10th and 18th, respectively, in the nation in each category. Angela Harris leads the conference and ranks among to top-10 in the nation in both steals (34) and steals per game (3.78).
SCOUTING THE BUCS
East Tennessee State enters Sunday's contest with a 6-4 record after winning back-to-back games at Murray State (96-68) and at Winthrop (74-63).
The Bucs shoot 38.9 percent from the field but only 25.5 percent from beyond the arc, leading to 73.2 points per game. Conversely, ETSU allows opponents to shoot 42.5 percent from the field and 29.7 percent from deep while holding opponents to 72.8 points per game.
The Bucs have been led offensively this season by Tianna Tarter, who scores 17.0 points per game. Tarter was named as one of 50 players to the watch list for the 2018 Citizen Naismith Watch List, awarded to the top women's basketball player in the country. Erica Haynes-Overton also averages double figures for ETSU with 14.2 points per night.
Britney Snowden leads the Bucs on the glass this season with 6.3 rebounds per game.
