Palmer Garners Unanimous Selection to Preseason Team

HOUSTON â€" Sophomore outside hitter Brookah Palmer earned a unanimous selection to the American Athletic Conference preseason team by all 10 coaches across the league.
In her rookie season, Palmer was named to the AVCA All-Southeast Region Honorable Mention team for a standout season. She was the second Cougar in two years to earn a spot on one of the All-Region teams.
Following the 2015 season, Palmer was a unanimous selection for the All-Conference First Team becoming the first freshman Cougars to be named to the first team and only the second cougar in three years to accomplish this feat.
Palmer was the third best hitter in the league. She tallied 285 digs in 71 sets played, averaging 4.01 kills per set. Palmer also led the conference with 30 service aces (0.42 aces per set) and was the top scorer with 4.62 points per set.
Houston Volleyball was selected to finish sixth in the preseason coaches' poll for the 2016 season, receiving 52 points.
