Houston Volleyball Season Tickets On Sale Now

HOUSTON - Fans can secure their seats for the 2014 Houston Volleyball home season by purchasing season tickets now. This year's home schedule included 16 home matches and two tournaments including the annual Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup.

Season tickets start at $50 each. The package includes one ticket for each regular season home game. Each ticket is good for any regular season home game. The tickets can be used as one per game, or multiple tickets to fewer games.

2014 GROUP TICKETS
Group tickets are available to organizations of 10 or more people who purchase tickets in advance. Group pricing will not be available at the door. For more information on group tickets, email tickets@uh.edu or call 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647).
Before preseason, Houston Volleyball will host its annual Red & White Day on Saturday, August 23. The team will hold a Red & White Scrimmage and Red & White Clinic. The clinic is free for students 8th grade and below starting at noon. The scrimmage will follow at 2 p.m.
HOUSTON COUGAR CLASSIC
The Cougars open the 2014 season at home as they host the Houston Cougar Classic August 29-30. Lamar, Texas State and Wake Forest are scheduled to attend the two-day tournament.
"The Houston Cougar Classic is in the third year of existence and is a tournament that has rotated host schools from Lamar to Texas State, and now to Houston," Head Coach Platt said. "We are excited about the opportunity to be home opening weekend and to host some great competition."

Houston Volleyball's first match of the season against Lamar is Volleyball Alumni Night. All Volleyball Alumni in attendance will be honored during intermission. Following the match, the team and alumni will participate in the opening of Houston Football's TDECU Stadium festivities.

Houston welcomes Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State and Louisiana-Lafayette for the third annual Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup.

"We are thankful to Flo Hyman's family for the privilege to host the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup," Platt said. "Flo is a huge part of our history and we appreciate the opportunity to honor Flo Hyman for her devotion to University of Houston Volleyball and the Volleyball Community."
Houston Volleyball will also host a Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup Clinic for students eighth grade and younger in conjunction with the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup on Saturday, Sept. 13, tentatively scheduled for 5 p.m. inside the Athletics/Alumni Center following the last match of the day.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Houston kicks off the second season of the American Athletic Conference at home hosting Cincinnati and Memphis (Sept. 26, 28).
Houston will play 20 conference matches, 10 at home and 10 on the road - competing against all 10 schools twice. This season, the American Athletic Conference added Tulane, Tulsa and East Carolina to its membership after Louisville and Rutgers left after one season. The rest of the conference is made up of Houston, Connecticut, Cincinnati, Temple, Memphis, UCF, USF and SMU.
"This year the American Athletic Conference is sure to be highly competitive. We've added some strong teams to an already competitive volleyball conference," Platt said. "There really isn't a top and bottom of conference; anyone can win on any night. We must be prepared, focused, and ready to compete. The team is gearing up with summer workouts and ready for the challenge."
All conferences matches will be played on Friday and Sunday with times to vary depending on location. Friday home matches will be played at 7 p.m. CT and Sunday home matches at 1 p.m. CT.

2014 FOOTBALL SEASON TICKETS
Houston fans can guarantee a place in history by purchasing season tickets for the first season in the new TDECU Stadium. Season tickets are currently on sale starting at just $140 as are Memorial Hermann Family Plan four-pack season tickets, two adult and two youth, for just $299. Lower-level reserved season tickets start at just $200.

Houston opens the 2014 season at 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 29, when it hosts UTSA in the first game in TDECU Stadium.
2014 FOOTBALL MINI PLANS
For those Houston fans who are unable to make it to TDECU Stadium all season, three-game mini plans are available for purchase for $99.
YOUNG ALUMNI TICKET INFORMATION
University of Houston alumni from the last five years (2010-14) can purchase season tickets for just $125 (upper levels) and $175 (lower level) in specially designated Young Alumni sections with a multiplier of four times donations to Cougar Pride giving levels for the first five years after graduation. Each ticket consists of a $25 Cougar Pride donation with the four times Young Alumni multiplier, resulting in a $100 donation credit and a Cougar Pride parking pass in the TDECU Stadium Garage.
