HOUSTON - The Houston Soccer team will hit the road for its first away match of the season to face McNeese State, Sunday at 1 p.m., in Lake Charles, La.
The Cougars are fresh off a 0-0 (2 OT) draw at home against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Friday, in which seven newcomers saw action for the first time in red and white.
Junior-transfer Jordan Brown saw all 110 minutes in goal while collecting three saves. Brown, a League City native, has not missed a single minute of action in 38 total games at Houston and Tennessee Tech.
McNeese State picked up its first win on opening night with a 1-0 victory over Prairie View A&M. Senior midfielder Krista Steinbeiser notched the game winning goal for the Cowgirls in the 23rd minute.
