Women's Soccer Host Tryouts Aug. 10

Houston, Texas --- The University of Houston Women's Soccer Team will be hosting open tryouts Aug. 10, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at the Carl Lewis Complex.
To attend the tryout, players must be enrolled as a full-time (12 hours) student on the University of Houston Central Campus. Returning students must have at least a 2.5 grade point average. Each applicant must also bring a copy of a valid physical examination, received within the past 12 months, along with a copy of up-to-date insurance information. In addition, you must register with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
In 2010, the Cougars concluded the year with a 12-5-4 record, finishing third in Conference USA, led by C-USA Coach of the Year, Susan Bush. In addition, two players were named to the C-USA First Team. Also, two players were named to the NSCAA All-Region Team, the first time since 2005.
