Cougar Soccer Season Kicks Off This Week

HOUSTON - The University of Houston soccer season kicks off this week with an exhibition match against Houston Baptist at Robertson Stadium, 1 p.m., Thursday. The match is open to the public and free to all fans.
Saturday will be a day filled with activities for UH soccer fans. A lunch hosted by Café Express (3200 Kirby #100) at 11:30 a.m. will jumpstart the festivities. After lunch, the Cougars will square off against each other when they take part in the annual intersquad scrimmage.
Following the conclusion of that match, Houston Cougar Soccer alumni will return to the pitch at 4:30 p.m. for the annual alumni game. After that match, a dinner will be held inside the Alumni and Athletics Center at 6:30 p.m.

Soccer season tickets are on sale now for the low price of $50 for nine home games. The Houston Athletics Ticket Office allows fans the freedom to choose how they wish to use them with their flex ticket policy. Fans can either use one ticket per game, or invite eight other friends to enjoy a single game. The deadline to renew season tickets is August 23.
Fans can purchase season tickets by calling 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647), by visiting the Athletics Tickets Office on the first floor of the Athletics/Alumni Center from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by visiting here.
UP NEXT
The regular season begins at 7 p.m., Sunday, August 22 when the Cougars face Sam Houston State at Robertson Stadium. After the home opener, the Cougars embark on a four-game road trip, facing opponents Louisiana-Lafayette, McNeese State, TCU and Baylor.
