HOUSTON - When the University of Houston women's basketball team hits the court for its contest against Delaware Friday in the opening game of the 2009 Coors Rocky Mountain Invitational it will be the road warrior Cougars' sixth game of the season and the fifth different state where they have played this year. Houston will face the Blue Hens at 6 p.m. (CST) Friday before facing either tournament host Colorado State or Texas State on Saturday.
The only team in the tournament's field that the Cougars have met previously is Texas State, over which Houston holds a 9-1 all-time series advantage. The meeting with Delaware will be the first career game between the schools as would a potential Saturday contest against Colorado State.
The Cougars are looking to get back to their winning ways after suffering their first back-to-back losses since consecutive defeats to close the 2007-08 season.
During its last time out at Miami, Houston got the first double-double performance of junior forward Lesslee Mason's career when the Cincinnati, Ohio, native scored 11 points and added 11 rebounds.
In addition to Mason's performance against the Hurricanes, sophomore guard Roxana Button also reached double figures in scoring, chipping in with 11 points.

The Cougars return home to Hofheinz Pavilion for just the second time this season on Dec. 5 when they host North Texas in a 7 p.m. contest.
