Indoor: Finished second at the Houston Indoor Invitational in the shot put with a team-best throw of 57-10.25....runner-up in the shot put at the Conference USA Championships. Outdoor: Second-place finisher in the shot put at the C-USA Championships with a throw of 56-6.50...finished seventh at the Midwest Regional Championships in the shot put...had a first-place finish at the LSU Relays in the shot-put with a team-best throw of 57-8.50...also finished first at the TSU Relays...posted a fifth place finish in the discus at the C-USA Championships with a throw of 150-10.

Transfer from Arkansas...member of the Razorbacks' national championship team...finished in seventh place with a mark of 59-3 in the shot put at the 2003 Southeastern Conference Championships...did not compete in the 2003 Outdoor season...won the 2002 SEC regional meet and finished fourth at the 2002 SEC Indoor Championships as a freshman...provisionally qualified for the 2002 NCAA Indoor Championships...finished fourth in the shot put and 11th in the discus at the 2002 Texas Relays...finished second in the shot put and eighth in the discus at the 2002 Penn Relays...member of the Dean's List with a 3.6 GPA as a freshman.

Three-time state champion in the shot put... was the USATF Junior Olympics national shot put champion...won the AAU national shot put and discus championships...set a meet record and was the Nike National Indoor Champion...also set a high school stadium record at the Texas Relays with a shot put of 68-10...had high school career bests of 71-3 in the shot put and 206-4.5 in the discus.
