This Season: Great leader, wealth of experience, knowledge, skill and ability to play outside midfield, outside defender, center midfield, and a central defender . . . Very energetic and always very fit . . . One of only three seniors on this year's squad . . . team captain
2003 (Junior): One of only six Cougars to start all 18 games . . . scored a career-high two goals on the year: vs TCU on Oct. 10 and vs Southern Miss on Oct. 24 . . . her best game of the year came in the Cougars' 3-3 double-overtime tie with Southern Miss on Oct. 24 when she had five shots, one goal and one assist . . . also had a stellar game in Houston's 3-2 loss to TCU on Oct. 10 when she registered four shots on the afternoon, including two on goal and one goal.
2002 (Sophomore): Appeared and started all 19 of the Cougars' matches... set career bests in shots (15) and points (3) during the season... among the team's leaders in seven of eight offensive categories... lone goal came in Houston's 4-1 victory vs North Texas on Sept. 31... described by Coach Solberg as a "ball of energy"... great at serving the ball... outstandingly fit... plays both sides of the ball efficiently... sound technical skills... will look to start at either a mid-field or defensive position.
2001 (Freshman): Started all 18 Houston games... led the team in shots on goal average with .571%... scored two goals on the year... had an assist in the game versus No. 21 Marquette.
2000: Red shirted while recovering from a knee surgery.
Club: Played for the Milwaukee Kicker Nationals under coach Rob Harrington.
High School: Played soccer for John Speilman at Mukwonago High School... earned All-Conference honors as a sophomore and a junior... three-year district Defensive MVP selection... also lettered in basketball and cross country... was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society... an excellent leader who was a class officer both her junior and senior years.
Personal: Born April 6, 1982, in Waukesha, Wis... parents are Jerry and Joan Gasser... major is engineering... also recruited by Purdue, Rhode Island and Ball State... favorite hobby includes playing basketball... chose to attend Houston because of "the campus, facilities, coaching staff, and the up and coming program."
