Junior (2003): One of Houston's most consistent players, appearing in all 32 matches and making 31 starts in her first season as a Cougar... was in the Top 3 in kills, digs blocks, assists and service aces... elected teams Most Valuable Player by teammates... Collected 20 total double-doubles (19 kill/dig double-doubles and one kills/block double-double)... averaged a double-double in the Conference USA Tournament (19.3 kills and 17.3 digs)... picked up 22 kills and 17 digs in upset of Cincinnati on Nov. 22 in the C-USA Tournament... pounded out a season-high 26 kills while digging 17 balls against USF on Nov. 21... collected 24 kills and 12 digs against USF on Oct. 25... had best all-around game as a Cougar on Sep. 19 against Ole Miss, picking up 15 kills and 10 blocks while digging nine balls.
BEFORE HOUSTON
Spent the 2001 and 2002 seasons at Arizona Western College in Yuma... as a sophomore, led team to a 35-7 overall and 17-1 league record and a seventh place finish in the 2002 NJCAA championships... a First-Team All-ACCAC, All-Region I and All-America NJCAA selection in 2001 and 2002... named the 2002 ACCAC Player of the Year... averaged 4.06 kills, 4.03 digs and 1.26 blocks per game in 2002... posted a career-high 21 kills and .913 hitting percentage against Phoenix... head coach James Finley honored as 2002 District A/Division I Coach of the Year.
