Entering Memphis game and following Tulane game
"We're glad to be at home. That's the main thing with four of our next six games at home. The schedule plays to our benefit. We have to take care of business and do what we have to do, and that's to win the games that we have remaining.
"It was a good game last week against Tulane. Our special teams and defense really played well in the first half to keep us in the game and give the offense time to get going. The second half was a total team effort.
"We have set ourselves up to have a pretty fun little run. Now, we have to understand how we got to where we are at. These guys are mature enough to know that. They know how hard they have worked. They know how they have been focused. Nothing changes. We just keep doing what we are doing; we take care of us and everything else will fall into place.
"Memphis has a good football team with, of course, one of the best running backs in the nation. They have been a very sound program over the last two years. It will be a great opportunity for us at Robertson Stadium."
On Sebastian Vollmer: "We will try to involve him a little more. He is a pretty good sized guy that can run well for his size. He has exceptional speed to be his size. We got forced into the issue with Roy Otis getting hurt against Tulsa. It added another dimension to us now. He can bring a little more size to the field for us in certain situations. He is a very talented young man."
On depth at running back: "For the last couple of years, that has been an area we felt pretty good about because we do have quality guys there. We have known that Ryan (Gilbert) is an exceptional player, and of course, Anthony (Evans) is too. We have Harold (Taylor) and Jackie (Battle) and guys that can do some things. Everybody has a role that they need to fill. When Anthony is down, Ryan goes and we will see how it unfolds the rest of the season. We are fortunate to have quality guys that can do the job there."
On running game being difference in second half against Tulane: "The difference in the second half was that, first of all, our defense played really well early. Special teams played well. We had a few things in the first half that we did not execute, didn't do a good job executing offensively. We hit a couple of things in the second half and got a little momentum. Up front, we won on both sides of the ball."
