Hawkins Named to NSCAA/adidas Scholar-Athlete All-South Region Team For Second Time

HOUSTON, Texas - Houston senior midfielder Nikki Hawkins, who led the Cougars in every offensive category in 2004, was named to the 2004 NSCAA/adidas Scholar-Athlete All-South Region Third Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America .
This is the second time that Hawkins was named to the NSCAA/adidas Scholar-Athlete All-South Region Team. She was named to the second team in 2003.
Hawkins becomes the first Cougar since the soccer program began in 1998 to garner the accolade.
In addition, her 26 points on the 2004 campaign are a career high, ranking her second among C-USA leaders and are the most by a Cougar player ever in school history. She has recorded 63 points during her four-year career and is the program's all-time leader.
Hawkins'11 goals on the year are the most recorded in a single season by a Cougar since the 2000 campaign, and the second-most in program history.
