Bill Solberg Chosen to Join Region III Staff

Houston, Texas - Head soccer coach Bill Solberg has been chosen to be a member of the Region III Staff. Solberg, will begin his third year head coaching at the University of Houston after being one of the youngest head coaches in Division-I women's soccer and was selected by the Region III director, Dave Smith based on a style of play and success in coaching.
Solberg's most important duty as a member of the Region III staff are to work a week long camp to evaluate and select the best players off of the states eleven State teams to compete on the Regional team and give them a shot at making nationals. The position would also include coaching the selected region team against other region teams, top ten collegiate teams and top teams over seas during their season.
Besides Solberg there are eight other elite members of the group including, Anson Dorance (UNC), Chris Petrucelli (Texas), Angela Kelly (Tennessee), Chris Huston (Rice), Everton Edwards (FIU), G Guerreri (Texas A&M), Phil Stephanson (A&M).
