Houston, Texas - Houston's women's soccer team announced the addition of transfer Alison Sinclair for the 2002 season. Sinclair, a strong defender from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will be a strategic addition to the lineup after the departure of 10 seniors this year.
"She adds speed, athleticism, tackling ability and great attitude to our defense," states head coach Bill Solberg. "Her immediate impact on our program will help our young team to continue to be competitive in Conference USA and at the national level."
Sinclair is transferring from Clemson University where last season the team finished 19-3-1 for the year and finished the regular season as ACC Champions.
"Alison is a tremendous addition to our team. We add an experienced defender who knows first hand what it takes to be number one in the nation," added Solberg.
In high school, Sinclair, attended Pius XI High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and played soccer for Coach Jon Coleman. Among her award at Pius, she received first-team All-Conference from 1998-2000, she made first-team All-State for three consecutive years and she was voted first-team All-Area her senior year.
While attending Houston, Sinclair will be majoring in speech and communications.
