Christine Nairn joined the Houston soccer staff in September 2024.
Nairn comes to Houston after an eight-year professional career, including stints with the Washington Spirit, Seattle Reign, Orlando Pride and most recently, the Houston Dash. The former Penn State standout was a First-Round draft pick, going seventh in the 2013 NWSL Draft.
While at Penn State, Nairn was named a three-time All-American, including United Soccer Coaches First-Team honors in 2012. She was also a 2012 MAC Hermann Finalist and a unanimous All-Big Ten First-Team selection from 2009-2013.
Nairn was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2009 and ended her collegiate career as the 2012 Big Ten Midfielder of the Year while earning Team MVP in 2010, 2012 and 2013.
The Annapolis, Md., native played eight years with the USWNT from 2008-2016, earning her first cap in October 2016, in a 4-0 win over Canada, and scored her first goal as a member of the USWNT in a 1-0 win over Canada in 2009.

Nairn also spent six years with the United States Youth National Team from 2005-2011, winning the 2008 U-20 World Cup in Chile and served as a captain for the U-20 Team that reached the World Cup Quarterfinals in Germany in 2010.
