Michael Palmer joined the University of Houston Softball program as its Director for Operations on Aug. 1, 2014. He also began in serving in the same capacity with Houston Soccer in Jan. 2017.
In his role, Palmer assists with day-to-day operations, travel coordination and alumni and recruiting databases. He also serves as the program's liaison to the Cougars' support staff.
Palmer came to Houston after finishing graduate school at LSU. While attending classes, he also served as the LSU Softball graduate assistant manager. In that role, Palmer helped with gameday and practice operations, distribution of equipment, coordinated team travel and worked with video.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, Palmer graduated from LSU in May 2014 with a master's degree in sports management and earned a bachelor's of science in sport and leisure studies at Ohio State University in August 2012.
