In his first race of the indoor season at the Houston Hilton Memorial on Jan. 18, placed third in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 6.70 seconds
His 6.70 time in the 60-meter remains the best time by a Cougar this season in the men's 60-meter dash and the best overall by a Cougar since Robert Foster posted a time of 6.60 seconds (Jan. 11, 2001 and Feb. 24, 2001)
In the race, Routt was beat out by current World Record holder in the event, Maurice Green (6.60 seconds), and Texas' Brendan Christian (6.69 seconds)
Finished fourth in the 200 meters with a career-best time of 21.73 seconds in 2002.
Helped Houston's 4x400-meter relay team finished in seventh place at the C-USA Indoor Championships last season.
Played in 20 games and made three starts as a defensive back on Houston's football team during the last two seasons.
Has tallied 48 tackles and one interception during his UH football career.
