
Houston, rv Texas Tech End in 1-1 Draw

Cougars remain undefeated with a draw against the Red Raiders.
LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Houston Soccer team continued its undefeated start to the season with a 1-1 draw against rv Texas Tech on Thursday evening at John Walker Soccer Complex.
Houston (6-0-3, 1-0-1) shared a result with Texas Tech (7-1-1, 1-0-1) for the first time in the series history, breaking a three-game losing streak.
The Cougars opened the scoring in the 60th minute as sophomore Blake Hodgson found reigning Big 12 Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week Samira Minor who turned and found the upper-right corner of the net.
Texas Tech would even the score as a foul was called on graduate Alex Whitcraft on the edge of the penalty area in the 80th minute. After review, the Red Raiders were awarded a penalty kick and Macy Blackburn finished the opportunity.
