Cougars tip off vs. Buffaloes at 3 p.m. (CST) in CU Events Center in first meeting since 1995-96 season

Saturday's game marks the first time the Cougars will face the Buffaloes on the hardwood since the 1995-96 season.
Houston (18-4 • 10-1 Big 12) enters this weekend's game following a 72-63 win over Oklahoma State inside Fertitta Center on Tuesday, its 14th win in the last 15 games.
Graduate guard LJ Cryer led all players with 18 points and four 3-pointers while graduate forward J'Wan Roberts totaled 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Junior point guard Milos Uzan added 17 points with five assists and no turnovers while sophomore guard Terrance Arceneaux led all players with a career-high six assists and added 10 points in the win.

• Through games of Feb. 5, Houston leads the nation in scoring defense (56.9 ppg), ranks fourth in field goal percentage defense (.374) and fourth in turnovers per game (9.2). The Cougars have led the nation in field goal percentage defense in each of the last four full seasons and topped the country in scoring defense a year ago.
• The Cougars rank eighth in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage at .393 and rank sixth in turnover margin (+5.3).
• Junior point guard Milos Uzan leads the Big 12 and ranks third in the nation with a 3.89 assist-turnover ratio.
• Sophomore forward Joseph Tugler ranks 14th in the nation and third in the Big 12 with 2.3 blocked shots per game. The Monroe, La., native has recorded 15 games with multiple blocks.

• The Cougars rose to #5 in the Associated Press poll and stayed steady at #5 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches poll released Monday.
• This marked the 99th consecutive week in which Houston was ranked, the nation's longest active streak and extending its school record.
• Houston is 20-5 when playing as the #5 (AP) team and has won its last seven games at #5 during its history
• This marks the first week in which Houston will compete as the #5 (AP) and the third straight week as #5 (Coaches) during the 2024-25 season.

ABOUT COLORADO
