Cougars add veteran goalkeeper to 2026 roster
HOUSTON – Veteran goalkeeper Molly Wissman joins the University of Houston Soccer team ahead of the 2026 season, Head Coach Ben Williams announced Wednesday.
"Molly brings three years of high-level experience from Denver and commands the back line very well," Williams said. "She commands her box, organizes the players in front of her, and has the shot-stopping range to handle everything from point-blank saves to long-range strikes. We're thrilled about the leadership and competitiveness she adds to our goalkeeping group."
Wissman started in all 18 matches as a freshman tallying six clean sheets on the season to be named to the Summit League All-Newcomer Team in 2023.
In three seasons at the University of Denver, the Santa Fe, N.M., native compiled an 18-5-9 record with 10 career shutouts and 84 saves.
Before arriving at Denver, Wissman set the school record for saves at Santa Fe High School, helping the team to back-to-back state finals as well as three First Team All-State honors.
