Koziol Earns East-West Shrine Bowl Invite

Illinois native leads FBS tight ends in catches, third in receiving yards by a tight end
HOUSTON – Houston Football senior tight end Tanner Koziol has been awarded for his successful collegiate career with an invitation to the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl.
Koziol has been invited to take part in the longest-running college all-star football game in the nation on Jan. 27, 2026, inside the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
The Bloomingdale, Ill., native is in his first season with the Cougars and has cemented himself as a sure-fire pass catcher, pacing the team and tight ends in the country with 35 receptions with the third-most receiving yards by a tight end in the country (364). Koziol has pulled in three receiving touchdowns this season and is averaging 10.4 yards per catch.
Houston is on the road on Friday at UCF for its second-to-last road trip of the season when the Cougars and Knights kick off at 8 p.m. on FS1.
