Houston meets rv BYU at the Carl Lewis International Complex, Thursday
HOUSTON – Following its first loss of the season against Colorado, the University of Houston Soccer team looks to return to its winning ways against rv BYU at 7 p.m., Thursday at the Carl Lewis International Complex.
Pizza will be available for the first 50 students in attendance. Thursday night's raffle item features a youth Houston Soccer kit.
Tickets for Thursday's match against BYU (6-3-1, 1-2 Big 12) can be found here. The match will be streaked on ESPN+ with Matt Pedersen (play-by-play), Dany Rodriguez (analyst and Vicente Garcia (reporter) calling the action. Live stats for the match are here.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars battled with the Buffaloes but took their first defeat of the season in Colorado with a score of 1-0.
After a scoreless 85 minutes, the nation's leader in goals scored, Hope Leyba, found the back of the net in the 86th minute on a left footed shot from inside the goal area. The Cougars would apply pressure late but could not break through.
