HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Basketball program faces another ranked opponent as it welcomes #24 Oklahoma State at 7 p.m., Tuesday for its annual RED OUT game.

THE GAME
- Houston meets #24 Oklahoma State for the fourth time in series history on Tuesday.
- Oklahoma State leads the all-time series, 2-1.
- Head Coach Ronald Hughey is 1-0 against Oklahoma State Head Coach Jacie Hoyt.
- Last season, the Cougars won their lone Big 12 Conference road game, 65-57 against the Cowgirls in Stillwater, Okla (Feb. 17, 2024).
- Oklahoma State won the lone meeting in Houston, 74-71 (Dec. 31, 1992.)
- This marks Houston's third game this season against a ranked opponent (#12/11 Kansas State, #22 Utah).
- Despite a tight first three and a half quarters, Houston fell, 69-42 against #22 Utah on Saturday afternoon at the Huntsman Center.
- Houston was led in scoring with 16 points from graduate guard Laila Blair.
- Blair moved up to third on Houston's all-time scoring list with 1,767 career points, surpassing Sonya Watkins' 1,752 points.
- Utah had three players in double figures including a double-double by graduate forward Mayé Touré with 22 points and 12 rebounds.
- The Cougars return six players from the 2023-24 roster: Kierra Merchant, Gigi Cooke, Avalon Miller, Maliyah Johnson, Peyton McFarland and All-Big 12 Conference Honorable Mention, Laila Blair.
- Blair (219) has her eyes set on Houston's all-time 3-pointers made record of 226.
- On Jan. 11, Blair moved up to third on Houston's all-time scoring list with 16 points against #22 Utah. She is 191 points away from moving up to second and surpassing Sharion Higgins with 1,957 points.
- Houston welcomes five transfers this season including Leilani Augmon (Troy), Summer Bostock (Maryland), Ashley Chevalier (Texas Tech), Eylia Love (Louisville) and Kateri Poole (LSU).
- Avalon Miller (Achilles), Maliyah Johnson (ACL) and Kateri Poole (ACL) will miss the season after suffering season-ending injuries leaving Houston with nine available players.
- Assistant Coach Chynna Grimes returned to the sidelines on Jan. 1 after giving birth to her daughter, Capri, on Nov. 4.
