Doubles play begins each day at 9 a.m., followed by singles action

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The University of Houston Tennis team continues fall action at the Milwaukee Classic beginning Friday at the Nicolet Tennis Center.

Action begins each day with doubles starting at 9 a.m., followed by singles play. Live stats for each day can be found here.

Junior Sophie Schouten and sophomores Iva Sepa and Valeriia Krokhotina will make the trip to Milwaukee.

TEAMS COMPETING
Houston, Cincinnati, Washington State, Navy, Oklahoma, Purdue, Lipscomb, Marquette, Ole Miss, Wisconsin and Tennessee.

LAST TIME OUT
Houston opened the fall slate last weekend at the H-E-B Invite in Waco, Texas. The Cougars collected 11 wins including winning the doubles red and green brackets. Sophomore Valeriia Krokhotina defeated Texas A&M's Lizanne Boyer to advance to the green bracket final. Krokhotina dropped the final match to Baylor's Wenfei Yu, 6-3 ,6-3.

Earlier this week, fifth-year Santa Strombacha competed in the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. Strombacha defeated No. 111 Janteje Tilbuerger (UCF), 7-6(5), 6-4, in the Round of 64 before falling in the Round of 32 to No. 77 Valencia Xu (Stanford), 1-6, 6-2, 4-6.
