Cougars and Bears battle at 1 p.m., for first Big 12 win of the season
WACO, Texas – The University of Houston soccer team travels to face Baylor at 1 p.m., Sunday at Betty Lou Mays Field.Â

Houston (3-4-1) dropped its Big 12 home opener to Arizona State 2-0, on Thursday.
The Cougars posted 11 shots on the night, led by junior forward Cameryn Maddox with six shots including three of them on target.
Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Dietrich recorded seven saves to move into eighth place on Houston's career saves list. The Broomfield, Colorado, native now has 123 saves in her career.

Houston returns to the Carl Lewis International Complex with a two-game homestand as it hosts TCU on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m., for Club Soccer/Hawaiian Night.

- Dietrich is top 10 in program history in career wins (sixth), games started by a goalie (sixth), ties (fifth) and saves (eighth).
- The Cougars return their two leading scorers in junior forward Cameryn Maddox and sophomore midfielder Aryanna Jimison.
- Maddox is five goals away from entering the top 10 in program history in career goals scored while Jimison needs six goals to join the list.
- Baylor is led by Michelle Lenard, who is in her third season leading the Bears. She is 18-22-6 in her three seasons in Waco.
