AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Houston Volleyball team starts a tough week as it nears the end of its non-conference schedule, heading to Austin for a battle against #6 Texas in Gregory Gymnasium.

Houston is coming off a 1-1 showing at the Flo Hyman Classic last weekend. The Cougars swept Northwestern State after a tense, five-set loss to Louisiana on Sept. 5.

The match in Austin is Houston's lone midweek contest of its nonconference slate.
The battle against Texas is one of two scheduled nationally televised games for the Cougars this season, bringing its total to five in the last two years.
