Men’s Basketball Coaching Clinic Set for Saturday, Oct. 12

Grassroots level basketball coaches invited to attend free event; Registration begins at 9 a.m., in Fertitta Center
HOUSTON – High school, middle school and AAU basketball coaches are invited to attend University of Houston Head Coach Kelvin Sampson's Coaching Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 12, inside the Fertitta Center.
Admission to the clinic is FREE. Space is limited, and coaches are encouraged to register early.
Check-in will be at the Fertitta Center Club entrance off Holman Street, beginning at 9 a.m., Oct. 12.
Clinic attendees may pay for parking on the street at the pay meters or in the Visitors Entrance of the Stadium Garage off Holman Street. No free parking will be available.

Sampson and his assistant coaches will lead the team in skill development to begin the clinic at 10 a.m.. Following that, Sampson will be miked up for practice as he coaches the Cougars in preparation for the 2024-25 season.
After the team workout, Sampson will answer questions and offer other insights.

UP NEXT
Sampson and the Cougars open the 2024-25 campaign when they meet Jackson State on Monday, Nov. 4. It will be the first of seven non-conference games inside the friendly confines of Fertitta Center.
Game times, broadcasting networks, the Big 12 Conference schedule and the Cougars' exhibition game will be released soon.
While game times, dates and broadcasting networks have not been announced for the Big 12 Conference schedule, Houston knows its 2024-25 league matrix. For the first time in school history, Houston will play a 20-game conference schedule.
The Cougars will face Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and West Virginia in home-and-away series. BYU, Cincinnati, Iowa State, TCU and Utah will visit Fertitta Center while the Cougars hit the road to face Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Kansas State and UCF.
