HOUSTON – The University of Houston Soccer team hosts Stephen F. Austin in its Student Welcome match at 7 p.m., Thursday at the Carl Lewis International Complex.
University of Houston students can enjoy free school supplies and food while supplies last. Students can also claim two free tickets to Thursday's match with the opportunity to win a Houston prize pack.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Matt Pedersen (pxp), Brooke Kirchhofer (analyst) and Vicente Garcia (reporter) calling the action. Live stats will be available here.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars (0-2) dropped their home opener, 3-1, on Sunday against Sam Houston. The Cougars scored first with a goal in the 11th minute as sophomore forward Kyrsten Kizer connected with junior forward Cameryn Maddox for Houston's first goal of the season.
The Bearkats scored the equalizer in the 29th minute off a goal by Gabrielle Williams. Sam Houston took the lead in the 80th minute when Landri Townsend broke through the Houston defense. Jasmine Dybala's goal off a corner kick sealed the game in the 81st minute for the 3-1 final score.

- The Cougars return their two leading scorers in junior forward Cameryn Maddox (7) and sophomore midfielder Aryanna Jimison (5).
