Houston hosts Oklahoma State in season’s final series
HOUSTON – The Houston Baseball team will host #19 Oklahoma State Thursday-Saturday in its final regular season games of the season in the first meeting between the two schools since 2012.

- The 2012 series win marked the Cougars' second series win of the season in head coach Todd Whitting's second season at the helm.
- Two John Olerud Semifinalists face off on Thursday as Houston's Justin Murray and Oklahoma State's Carson Benge were both named to the Two Way Player of the Year Award Semifinalist list on Tuesday.
- Oklahoma State currently sits in second in the Big 12 Conference with a half-game lead on Texas for the #2 seed in the Big 12 Tournament in Arlington May 21-25.
- This is the ninth-most played match-up in Houston history.

- Coll's 3.36 WAR (wins above replacement) ranks seventh in the Big 12 and eighth among second basemen nationally. Coll's 3.36 WAR is second among Big 12 second basemen.
- Houston is on pace to hit more home runs then its opponents for the first time in a full season since 2019.
- The Cougars pitching staff is on pace for 551 strikeouts this season, the second-most strikeouts in a single season thanks to their 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings pace. The school record 605 was set in 2003 over 598.1 innings (9.1 strikeouts per nine) in which Houston played a school record 67 games.
- Houston is on pace to hit 81 home runs this season, the second most in school history (83 in 1986) – the Cougars have already hit the most in the BBCOR bat era (2012-present).
