Knights clinch series win, hold Cougars scoreless on Saturday
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Softball team lost to UCF, 11-0, in the second contest of a three-game set at Cougar Softball Stadium on Saturday.
Kaitlyn Felton (9-3) picked up a complete-game shutout for the Knights (24-15, 9-8 Big 12), allowing four hits and two walks in five innings. Taylor Edwards (2-1) took the loss in her second start of the year. Houston moved to 22-19 on the season, with a 3-14 record in Big 12 play.

2nd | UCF struck first in the second game of the weekend. Back-to-back RBIs from Stormy Kotzelnick and Aubrey Evans drove home a pair, giving the Knights a 2-0 lead.
4th | A lead-off home run from Ashleigh Griffin extended UCF's edge to three, while a three-run homer off the bat of Sona Halajian pushed the score to 6-0. A walk followed by a double drove home another run for the Knights, ending the frame with a 7-0 edge.
5th | UCF clinched a run-rule win in the fifth. After a pair of singles and an error put two runners in scoring position, a Halajian double plated two. Another double later in the inning plated an additional pair of runners, sealing an 11-0 victory for the Knights.
