Cougars tip off at 6 p.m., Tuesday, inside Fertitta Center in Big 12 showdown
HOUSTON – The #5/5 University of Houston Men's Basketball returns to the Fertitta Center to play host to Oklahoma State in Big 12 action at 6 p.m., Tuesday.
With an earlier-than-usual weekday start, fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid traffic. Fertitta Center doors open at 5 p.m., Tuesday.
The Cougars have won their last 17 home games inside Fertitta Center, tying for the nation's third-longest active streak, and have posted an 88-6 record inside the facility.
Houston enters this week's home contest following a tough 78-65 loss at #8/9 Kansas in Lawrence, Kan., on Saturday. Senior forward J'Wan Roberts scored 11 points and led all players with 13 rebounds, including seven offensive boards, for his team-leading fourth double-double of the season.
Senior guard LJ Cryer led all players with 24 points, thanks to six 3-pointers, against the Jayhawks for his team-leading seventh 20-point game of the year.
With his performance against the Jayhawks, Roberts moved into an exclusive club in the Big 12. The St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, native is one of only three student-athletes to rank among the league's Top-Nine leaders in both offensive and defensive rebounding.
Roberts is third in the league with 3.0 offensive rebounds per contest and stands ninth with 4.4 defensive rebounds per game. He joins Kansas' Hunter Dickinson and Texas Tech's Warren Washington as the only players to stand that high in both categories.

• Monday's #5 rankings in both polls marked the 223rd week in which Houston stood among the Top 25 in the Associated Press poll.
