Women’s Golf Proud to Host The Chevron Collegiate

Two-day, 54-hole tournament will be held Feb. 26-27 at Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas
HOUSTON – When the University of Houston Women's Golf program hosts its annual spring tournament at Golf Club of Houston later this month, it will welcome a new title sponsor.
The Cougars will compete at The Chevron Collegiate at Golf Club of Houston on Feb. 26-27. Houston will compete against Furman, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Maryland, North Texas, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UNLV and UTSA in the two-day, 54-hole tournament.
Admission is free to the event, and all fans are invited to attend. The Final Round is expected to finish around Noon, Feb. 27.
"We are so grateful to Chevron for supporting our annual tournament as the title sponsor. Their commitment to enhancing women's golf and empowering female athletes has been shown through the years," Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Lydia Gumm said. "As we welcome Chevron to Houston Women's Golf, we also wish to thank ICON and Pamela O'Rourke for their generosity and support of our program in recent years."
Chevron is a proud sponsor of The Chevron Championship, one of the LGPA's annual major championships played at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas.
As part of Chevron's commitment to the Cougars' home tournament, the individual champion of The Chevron Collegiate will be presented with a place in The Chevron Championship Pro-Am and an invitation to its pairings party.
Chevron Vice President of Renewables Nuray Elci will be a guest speaker at a team dinner for all squads, coaches and student-athletes following the first two rounds on Feb. 26.

Following the Chevron Collegiate, the Cougars will tee off at The Show at Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas on March 4-5.
