Saldana Leads Cougars in Final Round, Houston Finishes 8th

Cougars wrapped competition in Tucson with an even-par scorecard from its four best scorecards

TUCSON, Ariz. – Following three rounds of golf at the MountainView Collegiate at The Preserve at Saddleback in Tucson, Ariz., the Houston Women's Golf team finished eighth in a 16 team field following an even-par day of golf on Sunday.

Senior Alexa Saldana led the Cougars on Sunday with a 2-under 70 which included a trio of birdies. Saldana finished the competition in 21^st with a three-round 216.

Senior Moa Svedenskiold finished 17^th overall in the leaderboard with 1-under for the tournament. Svedenskiold sunk three birdies in the final round.

Houston sunk 14 birdies on the day with the seventh-best team Third Round on Sunday.

UP NEXT
After the Cougars wrap up the MountainView Collegiate, Houston will compete in the Veritex Bank Collegiate in Dallas from April 5-7 before the Big 12 Championships from April 23-25.
