PREVIEW: Four Swimmers Head to Ohio State Winter Invitational

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Swimming & Diving team is sending four of its swimmers to compete at the Ohio State Winter Invitational inside McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio, this weekend.

Gigi Casten, Tierney Howell, Jenna Kerkman and Bella Lojewski will represent the Cougars at the event.

The four swimmers will compete in nine different events. The overall schedule is below.

Friday
500 Free – Casten
50 Free – Howell, Kerkman, Lojewski

Saturday
100 Fly – Howell, Lojewski
200 Free – Casten, Lojewski
100 Breast – Kerkman

Sunday
1650 Free – Casten
100 Free – Casten, Howell, Kerkman
200 Breast – Kerkman
200 Fly – Lojewski

Preliminary heats begin at 11 a.m. each day with finals heats at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m on Sunday.

UP NEXT
Houston heads to its first Big 12 Conference Championships, hosted by West Virginia. The conference championship meet runs from Feb. 27-March 2.
