ORLANDO, Fla.– The University of Houston Women's Basketball program continues its road trip as it heads to the Sunshine State to battle UCF inside Addition Financial Arena at 1 p.m., CT Saturday.

Saturday marks the 29th matchup between Houston and UCF, first head-to-head matchup as members of the Big 12 Conference since departing the American Athletic Conference in 2023.
UCF leads the all-time series, 21-7.
Houston last defeated UCF in Orlando, 71-68 (Jan. 27, 2011.)
In its most recent meeting, Houston snapped its 12- game losing streak against UCF, 80-42 (Jan. 10, 2023).
Houston Head Coach Ronald Hughey served as the recruiting coordinator for UCF during the 2008- 09 season where the Knights claimed the CUSA Championship title and the school's third NCAA Tournament berth.

The Cougars dropped a 66-48 decision against Texas Tech on Wednesday evening inside United Supermarkets Arena.
Houston posted 11 steals compared to six for Texas Tech. The Cougars posted four 3-pointers and held the Lady Raiders to a season-low 18.8% from behind the arc (3-of-16).
Senior guard Laila Blair scored 17 for the Cougars, her 17th game in double figures this season.

Graduate guard Britney Onyeje (922) is 78 points away from reaching 1,000 career points with Houston.
Houston is closing in on being one of eight teams with four active 1,000+ point scorers.
Both Onyeje (198) and Laila Blair (172) have their eyes set on the Houston all-time three-pointers made record of 226 set by Brittney Scott (2007-11).
Onyeje is now second all-time on the three-pointers made list, surpassing Chandi Jones (188, 2000-04).
Blair sits at fourth all-time on the three-pointers made list.
A season after being the shortest team in the league and relying on its full court press to make teams uncomfortable, the Cougars are the 11th tallest team in the league this year an average height of 5-11.
