Nickens, Tulimero homer in Houston's fourth straight victory
LAKE CHARLES, La.  – Home runs from sophomore Cameron Nickens and junior Anthony Tulimero lifted University of Houston Baseball to its fourth consecutive victory courtesy of a 9-6 win at McNeese on Tuesday night at Cowboy Stadium.
Sophomore Cade Citelli (1-2) earned his first win for the Cougars (9-11) throwing 5.0 innings while allowing just one hit alongside eight strikeouts. Utility player Justin Murray locked up his second save of the season, working around a walk while striking out three. Kainin Morrow (2-0) earned his first loss for McNeese (15-6) throwing three innings. Houston's victory snapped McNeese's 11-game home winning streak and seven-game overall win streak.

3rd | Back-to-back singles from Lopez and Nickens set up junior catcher Anthony Tulimero for his own home run, this time a three-run jack, in the top of the third to extend Houston's lead to 5-0.

5th | With runners on second and third a double from Murray brought Tulimero and Collins home before a sacrifice fly from shortstop Ian McMillan drove Murray home adding three runs in the top of the fifth for an 8-0 advantage for the Cougars.

In back-to-back innings, the Cowboys plated three runs each inning closing the score gap to 9-6.

9th | Tulimero clinched his third hit of the day, singling to left field which was followed by a long single from Collins to move Tulimero to third base. On a 3-2 count, Murray hit a sacrifice fly to right field to bring Tulimero home to increase Houston's lead to 9-6. In the bottom of the inning, Murray made an appearance on the mound for the Cougars retiring three of the four batters to end the game.
