Season Ticket Deposits Showcase Big 12 Conference Excitement

2,100+ new season ticket deposits placed in February with public on-sale approaching
HOUSTON – With the excitement surrounding University of Houston Football's inaugural season in the Big 12 Conference building, Cougar fans have responded in strong numbers ahead of Monday's official on-sale date to the public.
Since Feb. 1, more than 2,100 new season ticket deposits have been placed to see the Cougars face UTSA (Sept. 2), TCU (Sept. 16), Sam Houston (Sept. 23), West Virginia (Oct. 12), Texas (Oct. 21), Cincinnati (Nov. 11) and Oklahoma State (Nov. 18) at TDECU Stadium this fall.
More than 1,700 season ticket holders have renewed for the 2023 campaign and added nearly 200 additional tickets as part of their purchase. On Wednesday, individuals who signed up for the $75 waitlist began selecting seats with 1,200+ new season tickets being purchased.
Those who were not season ticket holders in 2022 or on the priority waitlist can begin purchasing new season tickets at 10 a.m. Monday by calling the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at 713‑GO‑COOGS (462‑6647) or by clicking here. Season packages are available for as low as $175. Fans are encouraged to act quickly to secure the best seats available which includes new lower-level inventory in Sections 121, 122, 132 and 133.
Returning season ticket holders who are interested in the new lower-level inventory in Sections 121, 122, 132 and 133 are encouraged to call the Houston Athletics Ticket Office before seats go on sale to the public Monday morning.
Houston enters 2023 having won a combined 20 games over the past two seasons including back-to-back bowl victories for the first time since 2014-15. The Cougars return Houston area-natives Alton McCaskill IV, who set UH's true freshman rushing touchdowns record in 2021, and Matthew Golden, who broke the program's true freshman receiving touchdowns record in 2022.
Houston's seven on-campus home games are its most since 2015. The Cougars face national championship-runner up TCU in the first conference game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 16. Houston faces Texas on Saturday, Oct. 21, in the first meeting as league foes since the 1995 season and for the first time on campus at the University of Houston since Sept. 22, 2001.
