Houston hosts Rice at 1 p.m., Wednesday
HOUSTON– After two games on the road, the University of Houston Women's Basketball program returns to Fertitta Center for its Hoopin' for the Holidays game as it welcomes Rice at 1 p.m., Wednesday to close out non-conference action.
Fans are encouraged to wear an ugly Christmas sweater to enter the ugly sweater contest to win a special prize along with a meet and greet with Shasta Claus.

THE GAME
- Houston and Rice meet for the 59th time in program history, and first time on the campus of the University of Houston for the first time since the 2014-15 season where the Cougars earned a close 59-58 victory over the Owls.

- In its last meeting against the Rice, Houston dropped a 91-88 2OT decision at Tudor Fieldhouse. Laila Blair led the Cougars with 17 points, five assists and four steals.
- The University of Houston Women's Basketball program dropped its first road game against rv rv Washington State, 95-48 at Beasley Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.
