#7/6 Men’s Basketball Set to Meet Stetson on Monday

Cougars tip off at 7 p.m., Monday, in Fertitta Center in first meeting against Hatters since 1983
HOUSTON – Winners of its first two games to open the season, the University of Houston Men's Basketball program closes its homestand when it plays host to Stetson at 7 p.m., Monday, inside the Fertitta Center.
This will be the third game in an eight-day stretch for #7/6 Houston, which claimed an 84-31 win over ULM on Nov. 6 and followed that with an 82-50 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday afternoon inside Fertitta Center.
Against the Islanders on Saturday, senior forward J'Wan Roberts led all players with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting and nine rebounds while senior guard LJ Cryer posted 15 points with a pair of treys in the win. Junior guard Ramon Walker Jr. finished with eight points and seven rebounds while sophomore guard Emanuel Sharp added 11 points with two rebounds and two assists.
Sharp continues to lead Houston with 15.5 points per game and is one of five Cougars averaging double-digit points this season, Cryer stands second at 12.0 points per game with senior guard Damian Dunn (11.5 ppg), Roberts (11.5 ppg) and sophomore forward Ja'Vier Francis (11.0 ppg) following closely.

• Monday's game will be part of Student Org Night as UH student organizations will compete in an attendance challenge with prizes to the winner.
• Students from Bondy Intermediate School will perform the national anthem before the game.
