Softball Announces Promotions, Themes for 2023 Schedule

HOUSTON – The University of Houston softball program has announced its promotional schedule for the upcoming season. While some promotions run all season long, including $2 tickets to any weekday game, most games also include giveaways or promotions of their own.

Every weekday game (Monday-Thursday) features $2 tickets at the box office and $2 hot dogs at the concession stand (excludes tournaments and the Texas A&M game).
Fans can now earn points to redeem prizes / experiences, purchase / access softball tickets, and more through the official app of Houston Athletics.
All foul balls collected and returned to the marketing table will be exchanged for a prize.
Sunday are Fundays at the Cougar Softball Stadium this year. Kids will be able to get face tattoos and play in a softball inflatable prior to the games, and following the Cougars' last game of the day, kids will be able to run the bases and get autographs signed by the team. Sundays also feature $6 concessions deal for a hot dog, chips and a drink.
All Houston home runs will be celebrated with a t-shirt toss.

Feb. 9-12 | Houston Invitational
Come on out to the ballpark for the opening weekend Houston Invitational for matchups against Virginia, South Dakota State, Lamar, rv Nebraska and Delaware. Fans can receive a foam finger and a 2023 Houston Softball Schedule Poster.

Feb. 17-19 | Celebrate Houston | Houston Classic
The Cougars remain at home the following weekend for another tournament, this time hosting Washington, Morgan State and Hofstra.

Feb. 23-26 | Fan Appreciation Weekend | Houston Tournament
Houston closes out February with its final home tournament of the season with HCU, Illinois, Pitt and Sam Houston State visiting the Cougar Softball Stadium during Fan Appreciation Weekend. Every game during the weekend will feature double points in the Pride Rewards app, while Friday's game will also celebrate National Trading Card Day with Houston Softball trading cards.

April 6-8 | Alumni Weekend | East Carolina
The Cougars host East Carolina during its annual alumni weekend. Fans can receive double points in the Pride Rewards app and witness the alumni and staff home run derby after the game on Saturday.

April 11 | 90s Night | McNeese
Fans can come out and get travel back in time for 90s night at the Cougar Softball Stadium. Fans wearing costumes from the 90s will be entered into a raffle in addition to the $2 weekday promotions.

April 21-23 | Kids Weekend & Bark in the Park | Tulsa
Join us for Kids Weekend at Cougar Softball Stadium as Houston hosts Tulsa. All weekend long, kids can receive face tattoos and play games prior to first pitch. Kids also get in free for Friday's game.

Fans can also bring their four-legged friends on Sunday for Bark in the Park Day and receive dog bowls and tennis balls.

May 3 | Strike Out Cancer | Texas A&M
Come join the Cougars for Strike Out Cancer night on May 3. Fans are encouraged to make a donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation prior to the game.

May 5-7 | Senior Weekend | South Florida
Help us recognize our senior class during the last home series of the year. Fans will receive Senior Big Heads during the weekend and we'll be recognizing the senior class during ceremonies throughout the weekend.
