Cougars Set for Texas Showdown Against Red Raiders

Houston faces Texas Tech for first time in program history
LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Houston Soccer program will travel to Lubbock to face in-state foe Texas Tech at 7 p.m., Thursday at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
Following an impressive 3-1 victory against Rice Sunday evening, the Cougars look to continue the momentum and pick up their second consecutive win of the season.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Geoff Haxton and Bridgett Jenkins calling the action. Live stats will also be available here.
ABOUT THE COUGARS
· Houston is in its first season under Head Coach Jaime Frias.
· The Cougars are 2-2-1 on the season.
· In its last match, Houston defeated Rice, 3-1 on Sunday evening at the Carl Lewis International Complex with goals from midfielder Cordelia Cross, forward Nadia Kamassah and defender Emma Clarke.
· Cross was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll following her goal against Rice.
· This will be the first time in program history that the Cougars face the Red Raiders.
SCOUTING THE RED RAIDERS
· Texas Tech is in its 16th season under Head Coach Tom Stone.
· The Red Raiders are 1-2-3 on the season.
· In its last match, Texas Tech earned a 0-0 draw against Saint Mary's on Sunday afternoon in Moraga, Calif.

The Cougars will return to Houston to face for a match against Houston Baptist at 7 p.m., Sunday at Sorrels Field on the campus of Houston Baptist. The match will be streamed on ESPN+ with live stats available here.
Houston will return to action at the Carl Lewis International complex at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15 for its first American Athletic Conference match of the season against South Florida for #vsCancer and Hispanic Heritage Night.

Students will now be able to claim two tickets at no cost to all home soccer matches. Students can claim their tickets by presenting their student IDs at the gate.
Fans can purchase single-game tickets by clicking here or by visiting the ticket office. Mobile tickets can also be purchased at game time at the ticket booth located at Schroeder Park (baseball), adjacent to the Carl Lewis International Complex.
