Carden lead-off double extends hitting streak to 4 games, hits in 8 of last 9 games
OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma, the number one team in the land, flexed its muscles Saturday night at the Hall of Fame Classic, downing the Houston softball team 8-0 in five innings.
Sophomore Amanda Carden hit her second lead-off extra-base hit inside Hall of Fame Stadium to open the game, a double off the wall in right-center field. The Cougars (14-15) ended up leaving two on base in the inning.
Oklahoma (24-0) scored all six of their eight runs on three different home runs.
Freshman Hannah Blincoe tossed 2.1 scoreless innings before giving up two home runs in the fourth inning and induced a double play off the bat of NCAA Career Home Run Record holder Jocelyn Alo.

The Cougars return home to face Sam Houston in a mid-week doubleheader Tuesday, March 22 beginning at 4 p.m. at Cougar Softball Stadium.
