Ramsey Earns Academic All-District Honors

Missouri City native recognized for on and off field performance
HOUSTON – University of Houston sophomore kicker Kyle Ramsey has been recognized for his work on the field and in the classroom as the kicker was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.
Ramsey, a senior in electrical engineering, owns a cumulative GPA of 3.9, is a perfect 33 of 33 on extra points and added a 24-yard field goal at Navy. The Missouri City, Texas, native has also helped the Cougars convert two onside kicks and totaled eight kickoffs in his seven games played.
Ramsey is a two-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic honoree and was recognized for his involvement in science, technology, engineering and math studies by being named as Houston's representative for the 2021 Military Bowl 3M STEM Scholar-Athlete Program.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in December.

The University of Houston's regular season finale against Tulsa on Saturday, Nov. 26 will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU at TDECU Stadium. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the program will recognize its 17-member senior class prior to kickoff.
