
Houston Takes 3-1 Win over Tulane on Wednesday

NEW ORLEANS – The University of Houston rolled to a 3-1 win over Tulane inside Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse in American Athletic Conference play on Wednesday evening.

After dropping a close first set, 25-23, the Cougars roared back to win the next three frames 25-21, 25-17, 25-20, in winning for the third time in their last four matches.

With the win, Houston won for the third time in its last four matches and improved to 12-3 overall and 2-1 in American Athletic Conference play. Tulane dropped to 9-6 overall and suffered its first league loss to fall to 2-1.

Wednesday's was the first of two regular-season match-ups against the Green Wave. Tulane visits the Fertitta Center on Oct. 27.

UP NEXT
Following Wednesday's match, the Cougars road swing continues at Noon (CDT), Sunday, against Temple in Philadelphia. From there, the Cougars head to Florida to face UCF (Oct. 8) and South Florida (Oct. 10).

Houston returns to the Fertitta Center to play host to SMU at 7 pm., Oct. 15.
