Houston Unveils 2021-22 Schedule

Cougars set to play four tournaments in fall with six spring events on slate
HOUSTON – The University of Houston will compete in 10 regular-season tournaments with trips to four states and Mexico during its 2021-22 regular-season schedule, Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke announced Tuesday.
Eight lettermen return from last season's team, which captured three Top-Three finishes and advanced to the NCAA Kingston Springs Regional. Senior and All-American Athletic Conference performer Alexander Frances returns after lead the Cougars a year ago with a 72.43 scoring average and 11 rounds of par or better.

FALL SEASON
For the first time since 2019, the Cougars will compete in a fall schedule, starting Sept. 5-7 at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate at Erin Hills Golf Course in Hartford, Wis.
Houston then tees off at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate at Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, La., on Sept. 12-14 with a trip to the Blessing Collegiate Invitational at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark., on Oct. 4-6 to follow.
The Cougars cap their fall schedule at the Eagle Point Intercollegiate at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, N.C., on Oct. 25-26.

SPRING SEASON
Following a break, the 2022 spring season tees off as the Cougars host the Border Olympics at Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas, on Feb. 14-15. It will be the first of four regular-season tournaments the Cougars host.
Houston will welcome Abilene Christian, Baylor, Bowling Green State, Houston Baptist, Illinois State, Lamar, Lipscomb, Michigan, New Mexico State, Rice, Sam Houston State, Texas, ULM and UTSA in that field.
From there, Houston competes at the Cabo Collegiate on the Ocean Course at Cove Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Feb. 27-March 1.
The Cougars return to the Lone Star State to play host to the All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas, on March 21-22 with Rice, Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, Baylor, Georgia State, Lamar, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State, North Texas, Sam Houston State, Texas State, ULM and UTSA scheduled to play.
Houston then heads to Florida to host the prestigious Valspar Collegiate Invitational on March 28-29 at Floridian Yacht and Golf Club in Palm City, Fla. That field featuring some of the nation's premier programs includes Arizona State, Duke, Florida State, Marquette, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio State, Pepperdine, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC, USF and Wake Forest.
After playing in the Aggie Invitational at Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas, on April 9-10, the Cougars compete in their final regular-season event of the year at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic on April 11-12 at Walden Golf Club on Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas.
The Bayou City Collegiate Classic field includes Rice, Sam Houston State, Abilene Christian, Florida Atlantic, Houston Baptist, Lamar, New Mexico State, Nicholls, Stephen F. Austin, UT Arlington, UT Rio Grande Valley and Utah Valley.
POSTSEASON
The postseason begins with the American Athletic Conference Championships, set for April 22-24 at Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville, Fla.
From there, the NCAA postseason begins May 16-18 at one five NCAA Regional sites across the country: Traditions Club (Bryan, Texas); Champion Course – PGA National Resort (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.); The Course at Yale (New Haven, Conn.); The Reserve at Spanos Park (Stockton, Calif.) and Ol' Colony Golf Complex (Tuscaloosa, Ala.).
The 2022 NCAA Championships will be held at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., on May 27-June 1.
