Houston Soccer Looks to Sunday for Home Match

Cougars will host Houston Baptist at 7 p.m.
HOUSTON – Houston Soccer (2-0-1) will take on Houston Baptist (0-2-0) Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Carl Lewis International Complex.
Following a Thursday draw against Stephen F. Austin, the Cougars are looking to continue to improve on its season record. In addition to the draw, Houston holds wins over Oklahoma and McNeese so far for the 2021 season.
For the first time since 2016, the start of the Diego Bocanegra era, Houston Soccer has gone unbeaten in its first three matches.
SERIES HISTORY
The last time the two teams faced one another was earlier this year in February which resulted in a 3-1 Houston Soccer win. In that match, Zionah Browne scored one goal and tallied one assist while Mia Brascia and Reid Morrison, assisted by Maddie Bowers, also put numbers on the scoreboard.
The first matchup was played in 2007 and has since produced an overall series record of 6-2-2. The Cougars have only suffered two losses against the Huskies in 2008 and 2018.
UP NEXT
Houston will be back at the Carl Lewis International Complex on Thursday to take on Lamar at 7 p.m. before heading on the road for the following three matches.
