Volleyball Earns Team Academic Award

Cougars receive accolade from USMC and AVCA
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Volleyball program earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 season, the United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced.

This marks the third time in the 27-year history of the award that Houston has received the honor and first since 2012. The Cougars were one of 243 Division I programs to earn the accolade, which recognizes volleyball teams that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
