
Senior Weekend Headlines Series with Tulsa

Cougars welcome Golden Hurricane for regular season finale
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Softball team concludes its regular season hosting Tulsa inside Cougar Softball Stadium for a four-game series May 7-9.
Ceremonies will be held prior to Saturday and Sunday's contests, as the Cougars will recognize their senior class for their accomplishments. Those being celebrated are Sarah Queen, Lindsey Stewart-Vaughn, Tierrah Williams, McKenna Fryar, Charese Wyatt and Aspen Howie.
The all-time series between Houston and Tulsa has been neck-and-neck as of late, with each team splitting the last six games played inside Cougar Softball Stadium. In fact, Houston has found success when its games with Tulsa are tight battles, as five of its last six overall wins against the Golden Hurricane have been by two or fewer runs.

- Last time out, Houston reached a program milestone in its series with Memphis, as the 7-2 victory over the Tigers marked the 700th win in program history.
- Coming off a blistering hot week is senior Rock Benavides, who erupted in the series against Memphis, batting .636 and reaching base in 11 of her 15 plate appearances. As a result of her performances, Benavides was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
- Junior Bethany Busch has been on a tear as of late, entering the weekend with a 16-game reached base streak. During that span, Busch has led the team in batting average (.357), on-base percentage (.471), walks (8) doubles (5), triples (2) and stolen bases (7). She's also committed no errors in 19 chances in that 16-game stretch.
