Jazmin Grant Named to United Soccer Coaches All-South Team

HOUSTON - Houston soccer forward Jazmin Grant has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South team this afternoon, the organization announced Wednesday.

Grant, an Atascocita, Texas, native, led the Cougars with 15 offensive points off six goals and three assists. On Wednesday she was awarded with a spot on the All-South Region Second Team and was one of only nine American Athletic Conference student-athletes to be recognized by the United Soccer Coaches.

Named to the First-Team All-Conference earlier this spring, Grant finds herself top-ten in Cougars history across several offensive categories including goals, points, shots, and shots on goal. For a full look at the Cougars record book check here.

Already one of the program's best scorers in its history, she was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll twice this season. Grant's list of awards also includes 2019 All-Conference Second Team, 2017 All-Conference Second Team, and 2017 All-Rookie Team. She has also been named to a pair of preseason All-Conference teams. In high school, Grant was also named to a pair of All-Texas teams.
