Houston opens eight-game homestand against UTA
HOUSTON – Houston Baseball wraps up non-conference play this weekend, opening a four-game series against UT Arlington at 6:30 p.m. Friday from Don Sanders Field at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park.
The teams will play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. and close things out Sunday at 1 p.m. All four games can be seen on ESPN+ and heard on Stretch Live.
A limited number of general admission tickets are available while supplies last. Fans are encouraged to act quickly and purchase prior to their arrival on campus. To purchase seats, visit UHCougars.com/tickets.

Friday marks Houston's (10-9) first contest in five days after its midweek doubleheader was canceled due to COVID-19 issues at Prairie View A&M. This weekend also marks the Cougars' first four-game series since hosting Columbia in a four-game set from Feb. 27-March 1, 2015.
UT Arlington (8-11) is coming off a 4-3, 11-inning walk-off victory against Baylor on Tuesday. The Mavericks return 90 percent of their innings pitched and 95 percent of their strikeouts from a season ago.
Houston and UT Arlington have met nine times previously with the Cougars holding an 8-1 advantage. In the last meeting, Feb. 18-20, 2011, Houston swept UTA in a three-game series at Cougar Field. The games, and victories, were the first for newly hired Houston head coach, Todd Whitting.
